Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship program for veterinary technology/nursing students to gain hands-on experience in emergency medicine. The program allows students to work alongside credentialed veterinary technicians (Veterinary Nurses), focusing on skills such as patient care, laboratory procedures, and triaging cases. Flexibility in externship length and location is provided, with mentorship and support from experienced professionals. Candidates must be enrolled in an AVMA-accredited program, vaccinated for rabies, and ready to begin their externship within six months of application.
