Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for students enrolled in AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs. The program provides hands-on experience in emergency medicine, focusing on skills like patient care, triage, and collaboration in a fast-paced environment. Students have flexibility in the length and location of the externship, with mentorship provided by credentialed veterinary technicians. Vaccination for rabies is required, unless exempt under school policy, and applicants must begin their externship within six months of application.

The externship is unpaid.
