Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship program for veterinary technology/nursing students, providing hands-on experience in emergency medicine. Students work alongside credentialed veterinary technicians (VEG Veterinary Nurses), focusing on skills like triaging cases, obtaining patient vitals, and collaborating in a fast-paced environment. The program offers flexibility in externship length and location selection, with mentorship and a commitment to a customer-first mentality. Candidates must be enrolled in an AVMA accredited program and vaccinated for rabies, with externships starting within 6 months of application.
