VEG, a rapidly expanding emergency veterinary company, offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program to AVMA-accredited veterinary technology/nursing students, providing hands-on experience in emergency medicine. The program focuses on honing skills such as obtaining patient vitals, processing laboratory samples, and triaging cases, aiming to offer students a comprehensive understanding of emergency care. Flexibility in externship length and location is provided, with mentorship from credentialed veterinary technicians. Rabies vaccination is required unless exempt under school policy, and applicants must be enrolled in accredited programs and ready to start within six months.
