Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship program for veterinary technology/nursing students enrolled in AVMA-accredited programs. Students gain hands-on experience in emergency medicine, focusing on skills like triage, patient care, and lab procedures. Flexibility in externship length and location is provided, with mentorship from credentialed veterinary technicians. Rabies vaccination is required, unless exempted by school policy.
