Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for students enrolled in AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs. The program provides hands-on experience in emergency medicine alongside credentialed veterinary technicians. Students gain skills in patient care, triage, and collaboration in a customer-centric environment. Flexibility in externship length and location is provided, with a focus on mentorship and immersion in emergency medicine. Rabies vaccination is required, and applicants must be enrolled in a program requiring externship hours.
