Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program, providing hands-on emergency medicine experience for vet tech/nursing students in various locations across the United States. The program emphasizes a customer-first approach and an employee-centric work environment, aiming to create a safe, secure, and valued experience for both pets and employees. Students will work alongside credentialed veterinary technicians, focusing on emergency skills like patient care, triaging cases, and collaborating in a fast-paced setting. Requirements include enrollment in an AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing program, rabies vaccination, and externship start within 6 months.
