Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program, providing hands-on emergency medicine experience for vet tech/nursing students in various locations across the United States. The program focuses on honing emergency skills, including patient care, triaging, and collaboration, under the guidance of credentialed veterinary technicians. Students must be enrolled in an AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing program, have rabies vaccination (unless exempted), and be ready to start within 6 months of application.

The externship includes pay and an opportunity to gain more hands-on experience in performing patient care duties.
