Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship program for AVMA-accredited veterinary technology/nursing students, providing hands-on experience in emergency medicine. Students work alongside credentialed veterinary technicians (Veterinary Nurses), focusing on skills such as patient vitals, laboratory processing, and triage in a customer-centric environment. The program offers flexibility in externship length and location, emphasizing mentorship and immersive learning in emergency medicine. Rabies vaccination is required unless exempted by the student's school's policy.
