Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for AVMA-accredited veterinary technology/nursing students, providing hands-on experience in emergency medicine. The program focuses on honing skills such as patient care, triaging, and collaborating in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility is key, as students can choose the length and location of their externship, supported by experienced veterinary technicians. Rabies vaccination is required, unless a school's policy allows for exemptions.
