Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program at their White Plains, NY location, allowing students to gain hands-on experience in emergency medicine. The program focuses on honing skills such as obtaining patient vitals, processing laboratory samples, and triaging emerging cases. Applicants must be enrolled in an AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing program and have rabies vaccinations unless exempt under their school's policy.
