Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship for veterinary technician/nursing students, providing hands-on experience in emergency medicine. The program focuses on honing skills such as patient care, triaging, and collaborating in a fast-paced environment. Students have flexibility in choosing the length and location of their externship, with mentorship provided by credentialed veterinary technicians. Requirements include enrollment in an AVMA accredited program, rabies vaccination, and externship initiation within six months of application.
