VEG offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program at multiple locations across the United States, providing hands-on emergency medicine experience to enrolled AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing students. Students will work alongside credentialed veterinary technicians, focusing on skills like obtaining patient vitals, processing laboratory samples, and triaging cases in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility in externship length and location is provided to meet school requirements, with mentorship from experienced professionals. Rabies vaccination is required, unless exempt under school policy.
