Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship for veterinary technology/nursing students, providing hands-on emergency medicine experience in various hospital locations across the United States. The program focuses on honing essential emergency skills, such as patient care, laboratory procedures, and triage, under the mentorship of experienced veterinary technicians. Applicants must be enrolled in an AVMA accredited program and have rabies vaccinations unless exempt per school policy, with externships customizable to meet school requirements and beginning within 6 months of application.
