Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for AVMA-accredited veterinary technology/nursing students. Students gain hands-on experience in emergency medicine, including patient care, triage, and laboratory work. Flexibility in externship length and location is provided, with mentorship from experienced veterinary technicians. Rabies vaccination is required, and the program aims to provide a supportive, employee-centric environment, with VEG being nominated for INC Magazine's Best Places to Work.
