Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship for veterinary technology/nursing students seeking hands-on experience in emergency medicine. Students work alongside credentialed veterinary technicians (VEG Veterinary Nurses) in a customer-centric environment, focusing on emergency skills like patient care, triage, and collaboration. The program emphasizes flexibility, mentorship, and location choice, catering to students enrolled in AVMA accredited programs within 6 months of starting their externship. Rabies vaccination is required, unless school policy allows handling unvaccinated animals.
