Nursing Externships offer nursing students a paid work opportunity to learn from professional nursing staff. Externships are offered throughout the year.

Students must have completed one semester of hospital medical/surgical clinical experience. Externships are temporary, part-time positions. Externs work every other weekend during the school year that includes two eight-hour shifts. During the summer, externs work two eight-hour shifts during the day, evening, or night.

Nurse externs may apply online. If accepted, externs must have CPR certification. Externship opportunities are available in critical care/telemetry, medical/surgical and women and children specialties.

Nursing externships take place at Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The medical center provides medical and surgical care, emergency care, medical treatment for women and children, outpatient and specialty procedures.

HP Tech Ventures is seeking ambitious students to help research relevant pre-seed stage startups for deal sourcing and evaluation. This project includes special data analytics projects that allow students to practice using analysis tools to perform business model, strategy, and value chain analysis. Foreign Medical Graduate U.S. Externships

Foreign Medical Graduate (FMG) U.S. Externships offer foreign medical students a hands-on clinical program that matches residency program requirements. It fills the experience requirement for students when they apply for a residency. The externship is different than just observing. Externships provide real, hands-on work experience for medical students. Externs will work with an attending physician and perform clinical duties such as assessing patient histories and performing physical examinations. All extern duties are done at a hospital under the supervision of a U.S. licensed attending physician.

Students who join the Bain team are offered externship positions that allow them to jump start their career through six-month working assignments at other companies where they can pursue different career paths. As Associate Consultants and Senior Associate Consultants, team members have an opportunity to broaden their consulting knowledge at consumer product companies, international think tanks, nonprofit charter schools, startup companies, and others. Winter externships are offered during January and February. Externships can last from one day to one week. Eligible students will find externships available in numerous career fields and geographic locations around the world. The externships do no include pay or college credit. Students will be responsible for all expenses, including travel and housing.
