Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is a rapidly growing emergency medicine company with a focus on helping people and their pets during critical situations. They offer an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for vet tech/nursing students. The externship provides hands-on experience in emergency medicine, including patient care, laboratory work, and collaboration in a fast-paced environment. Requirements include enrollment in an AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing program, and rabies vaccinations are necessary unless there are school-specific policies in place. Students can choose the length and location of their externship, and mentorship is provided by credentialed veterinary technicians.
