Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship program for AVMA-accredited veterinary technology/nursing students, providing hands-on experience in emergency medicine. Students work alongside credentialed veterinary technicians (VEG Veterinary Nurses), focusing on skills like triage, patient care, and collaboration in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility in externship length and location is provided, with a focus on mentorship and immersion in emergency medicine. Rabies vaccination is required unless exempted by the school's policy.
