Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers a Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program, providing hands-on emergency medicine experience alongside credentialed technicians. The program emphasizes a customer-first approach and fosters an employee-centric work environment, reflected in VEG's nomination for INC Magazine's Best Places to Work. With a focus on flexibility, mentorship, and immersion in emergency medicine, the unpaid externship requires enrollment in an AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing program and rabies vaccination unless exempted by school policy.

Students who join the Bain team are offered externship positions that allow them to jump start their career through six-month working assignments at other companies where they can pursue different career paths. As Associate Consultants and Senior Associate Consultants, team members have an opportunity to broaden their consulting knowledge at consumer product companies, international think tanks, nonprofit charter schools, startup companies, and others.
