Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship program for veterinary technician/nurse students, providing hands-on experience in emergency medicine. Students work alongside credentialed veterinary technicians (Veterinary Nurses) focusing on vital skills such as patient care, laboratory processing, and triaging. Flexibility is key, allowing students to choose the externship length and location, with mentorship provided. Applicants must be enrolled in an AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing program, vaccinated for rabies, and ready to start within 6 months of application.
