Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship program for veterinary technology/nursing students, providing hands-on experience in emergency medicine across various locations in the United States. Students work alongside credentialed veterinary technicians (VEG Veterinary Nurses), focusing on skills like patient care, laboratory processing, and triage. The program emphasizes flexibility, mentorship, and a commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive work environment. Applicants must be enrolled in an AVMA accredited program and have rabies vaccination unless exempt under school policy.
