Legal Externship in Virginia

MITRE offers a Legal Externship Program for law students, providing insight into in-house counsel work. Students analyze laws and regulations, draft legal documents, and assist with corporate policy interpretation. The program requires at least 15 hours per week for 11 weeks and encourages academic course credit alignment. Basic qualifications include enrollment in a JD program and excellence in academic performance, with preferred exposure to contracts and regulatory compliance.
