The UT Southwestern Summer Externship Program for nursing students requires BSN students with a minimum 3.0 GPA and current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification. Duties include patient care, hygiene, documentation, and maintaining a supportive environment. Applicants must comply with the COVID-19 vaccine mandate and undergo criminal history checks. Students who join the Bain team are offered externship positions that allow them to jump start their career through six-month working assignments at other companies where they can pursue different career paths. As Associate Consultants and Senior Associate Consultants, team members have an opportunity to broaden their consulting knowledge at consumer product companies, international think tanks, nonprofit charter schools, startup companies, and others. The externship is unpaid.
