Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship program for veterinary technician/nursing students, providing hands-on experience in emergency medicine. Students work alongside credentialed veterinary technicians (Veterinary Nurses) to hone skills in patient care, triaging, and laboratory procedures. With a focus on a customer-centric approach, VEG aims to create a supportive and empowering environment for both pets and employees. Requirements include enrollment in an AVMA-accredited program, rabies vaccination, and flexibility in externship length and location.
