Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program across the U.S., providing hands-on emergency medicine experience to vet tech/nursing students. Students gain skills in patient care, laboratory procedures, triaging, and more, mentored by experienced veterinary technicians (VEG Veterinary Nurses). The program targets AVMA-accredited veterinary technology/nursing students seeking externship hours, with rabies vaccination required. Flexibility in duration and location is emphasized to accommodate school requirements and interests.
