Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship program for veterinary technician/nursing students, providing hands-on experience in emergency medicine. Students work alongside credentialed veterinary technicians (VEG Veterinary Nurses) to hone their skills in patient care, triage, and collaboration. The program prioritizes flexibility, allowing students to choose the length and location of their externship to meet school requirements. Applicants must be enrolled in an AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing program, with rabies vaccination required unless exempted by school policy.
