VEG offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for students enrolled in AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs. The program provides hands-on experience in emergency medicine, focusing on skills such as patient care, laboratory procedures, and triage. Flexible in length and location, with mentorship provided by credentialed veterinary technicians, it offers an opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the world of emergency veterinary care. Rabies vaccination is required unless exempted by the student's school policy.
