Temporary full-time Nursing Extern Program for RN students with Choctaw Nation from 6/3 - 8/2, paying $15/hr. Tasks include learning opportunities, performing nursing skills under RN supervision, maintaining a safe environment, and demonstrating organizational effectiveness. Requirements: CPR certification, CNA certification (preferred), nursing school clinical experience, and medical terminology knowledge. Johns Hopkins Clinical Nurse Externships are offered to nursing students who have completed at least one clinical practicum in an acute-care hospital. The externship includes pay and an opportunity to gain more hands-on experience in performing patient care duties. Applicants must be willing to work at least one shift a week during the school semester. To be eligible to apply, nursing students must have completed their nursing school course work as required by the Maryland Board of Nursing and obtain their CNA certification two weeks prior to the start of the externship.
