Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship for veterinary technician/nursing students to gain hands-on emergency medicine experience alongside credentialed veterinary technicians (VEG Veterinary Nurses). Students will focus on vital skills such as patient vitals, laboratory procedures, patient care, triaging, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. The program emphasizes flexibility, allowing students to choose the externship length and location based on school requirements and hospital availability. Applicants must be enrolled in an AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing program, vaccinated for rabies, and ready to start within six months of application.
