VEG offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for students enrolled in AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs. The program provides hands-on experience in emergency medicine, focusing on skills such as patient care, triaging, and collaborating in a fast-paced environment. Students have flexibility in the length and location of their externship, with mentorship provided by experienced veterinary technicians (VEG Veterinary Nurses). Rabies vaccination is required unless exempted by school policy.
