Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers a hands-on Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for students enrolled in AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs. This unpaid externship provides experience in emergency medicine, focusing on skills like patient vitals, lab sample processing, and patient care in a fast-paced environment. Students can choose the length and location of their externship, supported by credentialed veterinary technicians (VEG Veterinary Nurses), with rabies vaccination required unless exempted by school policy.
