Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for AVMA-accredited veterinary technology/nursing students, providing hands-on experience in emergency medicine. The program focuses on honing skills such as patient vitals, laboratory sample processing, patient care, triaging, and collaboration in a fast-paced environment. Externs have flexibility in choosing the duration and location of their externship and must be vaccinated for rabies, unless exempt per their school's policy.
