Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program aimed at AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing students seeking hands-on experience in emergency medicine. With a focus on customer and employee satisfaction, VEG prioritizes creating a supportive work environment. Externs gain practical skills in emergency care, such as patient vitals, laboratory procedures, and triage, while enjoying flexibility in externship length and location. Candidates must be vaccinated for rabies and enrolled in a qualifying program, with externships commencing within six months of application.
