Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program, providing hands-on experience in emergency medicine for vet tech/nursing students. The program focuses on honing emergency skills, such as patient vitals, laboratory samples, and triaging cases, while offering flexibility in externship length and location. Applicants must be enrolled in an AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing program, with rabies vaccination required unless exempted by their school's policy.
